The ratings are processed and posted on the website by the end of the month. Please send the game reports only once and look for your updated rating on the 1st of each month.
To all members in good standing in the WCCF

There is a need for Tournament Director for the Rook department.

Approximately 1 to 2 hours a week is all that will be necessary to devote to the TD duties.

There is a simple, complete tutorial as to what your responsibilities will be including text instructions and visuals showing how your entries should appear on your monitor.

If you are interested, please contact us via the web form.

Any questions will be answered fully and any suggestions will be welcomed with open arms.

Thanks for your interest in keeping the WCCF on an even keel.

Director WCCF

Announcement

In an effort to speed up the start of Knight, Bishop and Rook tournaments, we are installing a new system.

In the Knight tournaments (3 players, 4 games for each player), we will start the tournament as soon as 2 members within the same rating range request the Knight event. A preliminary assignment sheet will be sent to the players. When the 3rd member within the same rating range requests a Knight tournament, the final assignment sheet will be sent that will include all 3 players in the tournament table. This will enable the staff to start the games more quickly with a shorter wait between tournaments.

The same will be instituted for the Bishop tournaments (4 players, 6 games for each player).

The start date will be the same for the match, but the 12 month time limit will be extended for those who start later in the match.

Newsletter Editor Needed!  Please contact us for more info.  Newsletter Editor, Michael Engles, has taken over the duties of WebChess Administrator and would like to devote his time to improving the WCCF WebChess.
