Welcome to WCCF
WCCF is an international email chess organization providing a friendly platform for chess players throughout the world to play rated email games in a properly structured and regulated environment.  Members of all abilities are welcome, from beginners to grand masters.

MEMBERSHIP IS ABSOLUTELY FREE

We are very happy to have you join us and hope that you will enjoy your participation and all the new friends that you will meet.

All events are divided into several rating categories. You can play as many or as few games as you like, and never again struggle to find an opponent.

If you have questions after carefully reading all the information on our site, please do not hesitate to send your inquiry to Director. This is his entire purpose of being and he will do his very best to be of assistance, but please do not ask a question that is already answered here.

New players need to know English short algebraic notation, correspondence chess procedures and be very knowledgeable with computer system and internet software. Full internet access is necessary for participation. Every player should be fluent in the use of the English language. New members should carefully read all of the information and requirements on our website and agree that our rules will be carefully observed. Players must complete all assigned games or notify all opponents and Director if it is necessary to withdraw for any reason. Director requires that a short (3-9 move) practice game be played to determine eligibility. Players are free to consult chess publications or literature, in printed or electronic form. The use of a chess engine (such as Chessmaster) or any other form of consultation must be agreed to by both players and Director before the start of the game. WCCF reserves the right to decline participation to any person without cause or explanation at its sole discretion.
